Joseph was born in London in 1964. He was immediately placed into the care of a Catholic run children’s home where he remained until he was adopted at the late age of fourteen by a white, Catholic, English family in the late 1970’s and moved to the idyllic countryside of West Sussex and it’s rolling hills of the South Downs. It was in this Suth-sæxe arcady that he forged his lifelong passion for photography and the arts.

Now based in Newcastle upon Tyne, Eldridge’s unique aesthetic captivates audiences worldwide. Eldridge established Harmonia Mundi Fine Arts Ltd because it is Latin and translates as “harmony of the world”. Eldridge is inspired by the grandeur and magnificence of the Renaissance, a period in history where fine art was formed. Where humanists and Christians forged a renewal of human endeavours, enquiring into nature and importance of humanity in the world around them. Where an intensive understanding of human behavior realised achievements of major conduits of culture and knowledge.
