British Black Ballet’s Island Movements III is one in a series of limited edition prints based on the Ballet Island Movements performed by the world famous British Black Ballet Company. The Windrush themed ballet Island Movements! The 30 minute ballet show tells the epic tale of the lives of a family from the Windrush generation, a story of a Caribbean family whose parents came over on the Windrush. It explores the impact of this generation’s experiences on their families, communities and society. Beginning with a young Caribbean soldier in WW2 Britain, this moving tale follows him and his family through their life in the UK up to the current Windrush scandal.

These special, limited edition prints created by Joseph Eldridge of Harmonia Mundi Fine Arts capture the human passions, spirit, elegance, emotions and yearnings in a sympathetic way that gives a beautiful insight into Eldridge’s own artistry and skill in evoking the senses.
